My Experience

I had pain in my lower back while I was on vacation. A friend recommended acupuncture.

The therapist explained the procedure and asked me my complaints. She then asked me to lie down and to take my shirt off. She first gave me a light massage in the affected areas, and then inserted the needles. There was no pain or discomfort. I remained lying down with the needles inserted for approximately a half hour. The procedure did improve my condition with reduction in pain and disability.

Afterwards, I went into a whirlpool.

My Advice

Make sure that the acupuncturist has proper licensing.
