My Experience

I had two top teeth pulled and needed a replaceable bridge. A bridge is essentially a retainer with two replacement teeth in it. The bridge snaps into the teeth already there.

I sat in the dentist chair and a mold was put into my mouth to take an impression. It feels like soft plastic and you bite down. That was it. The dentist then sent it to a lab to get a bridge made. Two weeks later I went back to have the bridge fitted. He snapped it in and began to adjust the fit by filing parts that feel rough against the gum.

My Advice

There is nothing to worry about, this is simple and painless. You may have to go back to the dentist a few times for adjustments to get the fit right.
