About the rating

My fillings were breaking down and the dentist recommended shoring things up with a crown and onlay.

I sat in the dental chair and they took X-rays, which confirmed the presence, location and extent of the cavities. The dentist numbed the area. He then began to drill the two teeth which were next to each other. He put a post in place and the temporary crown. There was no pain.

I returned one month later. The dentist removed my temporary crown and inserted the permanent crown, cementing it in and then filing it for a perfect fit. I had no problems after the procedure and no recovery period.

My Advice

This was a relatively painless procedure but it does take 1-1.5 hours in the chair. This was made easier by watching a movie while the dentist worked.
