About the rating

For the birth of our second child, the experience was uneventful. We had told our doctor about my prior epidural experience and insisted that the top doctor on rotation give me the injection. Good to their word, I had a great doctor who was kind (my husband was allowed to hold my hand and the doctor didn’t yell at me), and an expert in delivering the epidural. It was a relatively painless procedure.

My Advice

Ask for an anesthesiologist with experience doing epidurals; it can make a huge difference.
