About the rating

Preparation for Hernia Repair:
“Choose a doctor who explains everything, in advance, and to your satisfaction. Ask questions and have the surgeon explain all the risks and after-care.”

“Discuss with your doctor before the procedure the type and level of sedation you are interested in and what is available and recommended.”

After Hernia Repair:
“Recuperate from the surgery at your own pace. Take a full week off work and plan to do nothing but sit/lay down. If you recover faster, great, but don’t expect to.”

“When you can walk, do so; it may help speed your healing.”

“If you have any pain or discomfort, contact your doctor. Do not hesitate to communicate.”
