About the rating

I received Rituxan (Rituximab) infusion treatment for the skin disorder bullous pemphigoid. Before the treatment, my doctor asked me to read up on the procedure and related potential side affects.

The procedure was performed in an out-patient oncology unit in my doctor’s building. I was given Tylenol, Benadryl and steroids prior to the infusion. The infusion lasted about 8 hours and I was monitored very closely, having my vitals taken every 15-30 minutes.

Immediately after the treatment, I was a little tired and had a slight headache.

My Advice

Drink plenty of fluids to help your body assimilate the infusion.
