About the rating

I had to get two fillings because two teeth contained decay.

I checked in at the dentist’s office and took a seat for 10 minutes. I was taken back and given glasses and a smock and seated in a dental chair. I was seen quickly by the dentist. The dentist injected Novocain to the first tooth, examined it, and then drilled out the decay and put in the filling. The second tooth was then examined and I was given more Novocain. The dentist then drilled the tooth to remove the decay and put in a filling. I was given a mirror to check the color of my fillings, both of which matched my original teeth. I got up and went to check out.

I was very numb in the upper lip and nose for three hours afterwards. There was very little pain once the numbness wore off.

My Advice

Ask your dentist about taking an over-the-counter pain-killer before the procedure so that it does not hurt when the numbness wears off.
